Post game quote

Purdue head coach Rob Klatte

I am proud of the way my team played in the last minutes, but we were in too big of a hole after the own goal was scored. We gave ourselves a lot of chances, we didn't quit, and still believed we could win right until the very end. Against Illinois, we need to show up the way we were playing the last 30 minutes; with drive, intensity and pressure. Hopefully today's loss will motivate my athletes to play better.

Purdue's next home game is against the 20th-ranked Fighting Illini of Illinois. It starts at 1:05 p.m.and will be aired live locally on WLAS 1410-AM and over the World Wide Web via www.purduesports.com. Today's Purdue-Northwestern game, taped for television, will be broadcast at 10 p.m. Friday and at 8 p.m. Sunday on the Purdue Channel

-- channel 5 on Insight Cable in Lafayette-West Lafayette and channel 15 on campus. The Illinois game will be shown at 8 p.m. Tuesday and again at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
