Post game quote

Washington head coach Lesle Gallimore

She hit the ball hard and low so it just hit one of our defenders and snuck

inside the left post. Soccer is a game of inches and the one they snuck in at the end could just as well have been one of ours that instead hit the post or ricocheted off a defender.

This was one of the best games we played all year. From the statistics, we

clearly had enough chances to win the game. Today, out of 20 shots we had 12 of them on goal and that is usually enough to win.

It is disappointing to go out in the first round with what I felt was one of

our best teams at Washington. We were a good enough team to win this game, it just did not happen.
