Nat Gonzalez, former men's head coach at UC Riverside, named as assistant with USC

Gonzalez replaces Neil Sedgwick who took the head coaching job at Montana earlier this month. He served was goalkeeping coach and first assistant for the menšs team at Washington (1996-2000). He was an assistant men's coach at Cal Poly Pomona from 1995-96 and a graduate assistant coach for the UCLA women's team from 1994-95. Gonzalez graduated from Chaffey High School in Ontario in 1988. He was a four-year letterwinner and goalkeeper at UCLA from 1988-91 and a member of the 1990 Bruins' national championship team. He earned a bachelor degree in psychology from UCLA in 1995 and possesses a United States Soccer Federation "B" license.

He also played professionally for six seasons in the Major Indoor Soccer League, finishing his career with the Seattle SeaDogs in 1997.
