November 12, 2002 Clemson to play Richmond in first round of NCAA Cup For the ninth consecutive season Clemson(14-7) will participate in the 64-team field of the NCAA Tournament. They will travel to Charlotte, North Carolina to play Richmond (13-5-2) in the first round. UNC-Charlotte (16-1-2) will play James Madison (12-7-3). The two winners will play on Sunday, November 17th. in Charlotte, NC.
