Spain reaches UEFA U-19 Final tournament Winning 2-1 against Belgium today on the Canary Island of Tenerife, Spain booked a trip to the UEFA Finals to be held in the Helsingborg area of Sweden in May 2002. Norway moved into second place in the group, after a 2-0 win over Yugoslavia, but with 5 points from the 3 matches, and a plus 2 goal difference, a place in the finals is not assured. Switzerland are currently best runner-up with 6 points (after England), so Norway is second best at the moment. Belgium finished 3rd with 2 points. France and Denmark have also qualified for finals as group winners. The final A group of matches starts on 27th February in Duisburg, and Germany as hosts and the U-18 title holders from last August, will be favourites to get into the 2002 finals. Hosts Sweden and the 4 A group winners automatically qualify for the finals. England have reached the finals as a top 3 runner-up.
