Spain crush Iceland in Group 3

In their first qualifying match for UEFA/WWC 2003 group Spain proved to be too strong for Iceland in a match played on Sunday 30th September 2001. The scorer for Iceland was Margret Olafsdottir in the 63rd minute.

Iceland had started their campaign well, with a draw against Russia and a win against Italy, both play at home, and still remain top of the group with 4 points from 3 games.

Italy play Russia in Siena on October 10th in the next match for this Group 3
