England star Kelly Smith injured and out for several weeks

Striker Kelly Smith has been ruled out of England'sgame with the USA. She has a medial tear in her right meniscus from an injury received during a club match for Philadelphia Charge in WUSA last weekend.

It is the same knee she had surgery on last year after tearing her cruciate ligament. Smith will had surgery and is expected to be out of action for three to four weeks.
