September 26, 2001 Scotland begins the long road to the World Cup this weekend Scotland begins the long road to the World Cup this weekend, meeting Austria in the first qualifying match of the 2003 Women's World Cup. In a difficult group which also includes Belgium and Wales, the team has been hit this week by the enforced withdrawal of top scorer Julie Fleeting, who has had appendicitis. The match on Saturday will be in the Austrian town of Leopoldsdorf im Marchfeld, and kicks off at 4.30 pm. Scotland flew out Wednesday to prepare for the match, with the following squad.
