Denmark National Team Head Coach Poul Højmose resigns

After coaching the team for five years he had planned to resign after the 2005 UEFA Finals, but after a disapointing performance resulting in the team finishing in sixth place at the recent Algarve Cup he felt that it would be best for the team to get fresh inspiration with a new coach at the 2005 UEFA Championship.

Peter Bonde who has been working as an assistant to the Denmark men's team coach Morten Olsen, and as a consultant in coaching department of the Danish Football Association (DBU). will coach Denmark at this summer's 2005 UEFA European Championship.

Denmark play  away against Italy on April 13th, .and play Switzerland, Sweden and Canada as preparation for the UEFA tournament.
