Germany Head Coach Theune- Meyer to hand over reins to Neid after 2005 UEFA Championship

Tina Theune -Meyer started in 1986 as the assistant coach for Germany's Head coach Gero Bisanz, and became Head Coach after the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.  Under her coaching and leadership Germany has won the 2003 FIFA World Championship, two UEFA Championships, and two Olympic Bronze Medals. Star German player Silvia Neid, with 111 international caps, became an assistant coach to Theune-Meyer in 2003. As Head Coach of the Under-19 National Team she coached tthem to win the 2004 UEFA Championship and the 2004 FIFA Under-19 World Championship.
