Italy
3 Scotland 0 in friendly at Vibo Valentia
Scotland went down
3-0 to Italy in a friendly international today at
Vibo Valentia. Despite holding the strong Italians to a single penalty
goal
in the first half, the team faded in the second half. Goalkeeper Gemma
Fay was in the thick of the action early on, facing two penalties in the
first half and saving one of them. However, when the second goal went
in early in the second half, there was no way back for Scotland and the
team was further hampered when Rachel Hamill had to be taken to hospital
with a leg injury.
