Nigeria provided a tough workout for the home team in a match arranged as a warm-up for England’s vital World Cup qualifying play-off semi-final against Iceland to be played over two legs in September.

The visitors swashbuckling physical style of play resulted in a goal at 66 minutes by Patience Avre on a play that left the crowd of 8,034 talking about the hand of...................

Florence Omagbemi received her second yellow card of the game but the resulting free kick was off target. The match saw the debut of Australian /Fulham player Kristy Moore, and Doncaster Belle Jody Handley.
