English FA accept invitation to 2002 Algarve Cup

The English FA announced that they have accepted the invitation to the Algarve cup. England will play USA, Norway and Sweden in Group B.

England have not played the USA since 1997, when they were invited to play in San Jose and Portland as part of the USA victory tour. USA won both matches, 5-0 and 6-0 and for most of the England squad it will be a first meeting against the World Champions.
