March 18, 2003 Tournament Re-Draw guarantees four games for SWANZ by Jeremy Ruan The late withdrawal of Fiji and Vanuatu from the Oceania World Cup qualifying tournament in Canberra next month has prompted a re-draw of the tournament by the Oceania Football Confederation, guaranteeing four matches for each of the teams in contention. In place of the original format, which involved two groups with cross-over semi-finals and a final, the five teams who will contest the April play-offs will take part in a round-robin competition, with the group winnersadvancing to September World Cup Finals in China. The SWANZ first game on their five-match schedule in Texas takes place at 1pm ,New Zealand time, on Wednesday March 19th. against Baylor University in Waco.
