April 8, 2002 OFC champion gets direct entry to 2004 Olympics Oceania Football Confederation has been granted direct entry to the Olympics in women's soccer. The new ruling by the Bureau of the Organising Committee of the Olympic Football Tournaments comes into effect at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
