Reigning champion Umeå IK beat former the champion Älvsjö AIK 3-0 (1-0) in theie first top contest in Allsvenskan 2001. Both teams played at their best. Last year Alvsjö was the superior team winning 2-0, now it is the turn of Umeå IK. Hanna Ljungberg scored her 4th goal and stands alone at the top of the scoring leaders.

This year´s promoted (P) Mallbackens shocked favorite Malmö FF in their scoreless away match. Mallbacken keeper Carola Söberg became the heroine in her first appearence. Malmö was disappointing, and probably underestimated Mallbacken.

Kopparbergs/Landvetter beat Sunnanå 4-0. All the scorers were playing in their first season at K/L. Remember last years home game against Djurgården? K/L scored four goals during the second half. They did it again today!

Öster did not have a lucky day - on the contrary. One score was ignored, two shots hit the post and the crossbar, and they failing to score on a penalty kick. Kristianstad/Wä was lucky to score in the last minutes.
