October 12, 2001 New generation as Brazil Under-19 National Team continues preparation Raphael josé Maciel de Pádua The latest crop of new talent in the Brazilian women's game continues the process of preparing for official competitions next year. The Under-19 coach called up 24 players on Monday for the third stage of training for the first official FIFA competition in this category: the South American championship in April 2002, qualifying to Women's World Cup U-19 in Canada'2002 The squad will meet on Monday 15th. in Rio de Janeiro before travelling up to Granja Comari in Teresopolis where the players will train until 4 November 4th. Three or four friendly matches have been arranged during this period to observe the girls in traning and give them valuable match experience. The first phase of training was held between 28 March and 15 April 2001 and the second between 17 and 30 September.
