September 3, 2001 Semifinalists of the 2001 Brazilian Championship determined Santa Isabel (MG), the Internacional (RS), Grêmio (RS), and Matonense (SP) have reached the semifinals in Uba. Top scorer so far is #10. Duda of the International club with 10 goals, followed of another athlete of the Inter and the Brazilian National Team, Karina Balestra, with 8 goals. Soon after the tournament ends the trainer of the Brazilian Selection, Paulo Gonçalves, will conduct a training camp in Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro. This is the fourth edition of the Brazilian Championship, and none of the previous winners have made it through this time. The others three were won by São Paulo, Vasco of Gamma and Portuguese-SP.
