November 4, 2002 So you want to play for a U.S. National Team? Let your feet do your talking! U.S. Soccer will be offering opportunities for promising youth female soccer players to be identified and offered development opportunities. The first of their "Play-In Days" will take place at Tropical Park in Miami on November 23-24 from 9 a.m. noon, and will be geared toward players who are playing outside of the traditional scouting networks. The two-day training sessions will involve players from the Under-13 to the Under-15 age groups (players born from 1987 to 1989) playing in an informal setting and receiving help from some of the nation's top coaches. In the future "Play-In Days" will be held in other cities across the USA. Girls attending these events will be considered for involvement in the Olympic Development Program as well as the U.S. Youth National Team programs.
