February 8, 2003 CONCACAF qualifying draw for 2004 Olympic Games set There will seventeen countries involved. The USA and Canada are seeded into the finals along with host Mexico. The remaining 14 teams will be divided into four groups of three teams apiece and one group of two teams. Initial Phase Group 1 Host Trinidad & Tobago Republica Dominicana Dominica Group 2 Host Jamaica U.S. Virgin Islands Cayman Islands Group 3 Host Haiti Puerto Rico Group 4 Host Costa Rica Nicaragua Honduras Group 5 Host Guatemala Panama Belize Each group winner will go through to one of two final round groups, where they will join North Zone representatives Canada, Mexico and the USA. The winner of each final round group will qualify for Athens, Greece.
