Game report
As in the Germany match the courageous Thailand squad were completely out of their depth against one of the best U-19 National Team in the world.
Canada's main target was to try and score enough goals to match or better Germany's goal differential, which with German's trouncing of Australia they were unable to achieve. Their win ties them with Germany at the top of the group, but second in goal differential.
They will have win against Germany in the final game of the first round. It promises to be an interesting match.
Post match quotes Canadian Head Coach Ian Bridge
I am very happy with the result because it now guarantees us a Quarterfinal berth. I think we played quite well throughout the match and in the end were probably too direct and too strong for Thailand despite our opponents organization. Our next job is to try and win the group but that will mean beating a very talented German team, and that is always a difficult task.
