Will the the England
FA find a way to participate in the 2012 London Olympics ?
Congratulations to London
As our GB reporter Colin Aldis reminded
us today, the England FA have a problem. Can they get an agreement from the
four nations involved to form a Men’s and Women’s Team to represent
Great Britain in Olympic Soccer for the first time?
As Olympic host and with matches
to be played across England. culminating with Finals being held at the New Wembley
Stadium, it would be a pity if an agreement is not reached.
For the women ‘s game it would be a wonderful opportunity to keep the recent rapid growth of girls/ women’s soccer in the UK moving forward . The exposure of their game nationwide would be so positive for the continuous growth of the sport.
