New York Time's article by Jere Longman today, somewhat misleading and possibly embarrassing for Solo and the rest of the team

We found the New York Time's article by Jere Longman on page 10 "Solo thwarts Brazil in victory in overtime" to be a misleading.title as were some of the contents.Quotes such as . such as "repeatedly she twarted Marta." are an exaggeration. We counted over forty saves by the U.S. team in their defensive half of the field and around the box that prevented shots on goal by the Brazilians, including Marta..

It was the best performance we have seen by goalkeeper Hope Solo, with three of her six saves being critical.. But one must score to win and Amy Rodriguez and Carli Lloyd combined for that magnificent goal and victory.. It was one of those complete team performances by the U.S. National Team that we have come to honor and enjoy over the last seventeen years..
