Good news for the women as FIFA clears the way for Great Britain Teams in the Olympics

FIFA President Blatter said today that it would not change the World Cup participation of individual countries that make up Great Britain if they put together Great Britain Olympic Teams, and that it should be done. It has been reported that the Scottish FA is against it, but for the women it would be a huge step in their gathering recognition in football. With the Olympics being held in London it would seem important to have both women’s and men’s Olympic teams hosting the sport.
