Success in the Philippines for Singapore

Ian Griffiths

Singapore's Lionesses have returned home after a successful four match tour of the Philippines. The national side registered two wins and a draw during their brief stay in Manila and coach Mohd Basir felt the experience was
invaluable, "the exposure has enabled the inexperienced players to see and feel football at the international level. I am grateful to the Philippine Football Federation for inviting us."
Tina Afrida was Singapore's topscorer with four goals which included a hat-trick against the Guam Southern Soccer Club.
