Rivalry in FA Community Shield game tomorrow between Arsenal and Fulham is good for womenıs soccer in England

National Division champions Arsenal and FA Cup holders Fulham meet in the FA Womenıs Community Shield at Leyton Orient FC on Thursday 8th August, kick-off 7.35pm. local time. It should herald a great kick off for the English season, and the start of a long time rivalry between the teams.

This season both sides will compete in the FA Nationwide Womenıs Premier League ­ National Division, and the long time domination of the competition by Arsenal is about to come to an end with the upstart Fulham FC pushing the England FAıs button for introducing a professional soccer league for women in England.
