Reports
circulating that Fulham FC has withdrawn funding for their women’s
team
By Colin Aldis
Fulham FC
plays in the National division of England FA’s Women's Premier League.
Apparently the manager, Marieanne Spacey, and the players have been informed
about the decision, and further meetings are expected with the club. The
English FA will also meet to discuss the matter.
A similar fate occured last year with Birmingham City, but they survived
through funding from elsewhere, so there maybe some hope for a top 10
club.
The National Division may have to operate with eleven teams next season,
or make changes to the relegation process which had previously been decided.
