Karen Carney receives the Nationwide Player of the Month Award for December

She was a stand out player for England at Euro 2005, and helped her club team Birmingham City pick up points during December to reach fifth place by the end of the month.

Carney will be presented with her specially commissioned Nationwide magnum of champagne prior to a forthcoming first team fixture.
