UWIC are the first team from Wales to win a BUSA Championshp

UWIC 1 Northumbria 0

It was the 20th Final played in the BUSA championship and for the first time the winners are from Wales.

UWIC were runners-up two years agoand this was the first appearance for the Newcastle based Northumbria University.

Over 100 different universities entered teams in the tournamen. Some entered two teams, and Loughborough entered three teams.

The 2008-09 season will start in late September..
