China Tournament kicked off on Friday

The new season China Tournament kicked off on Friday November 15,2002 in Guangdong province. Twelve top teams are playing in the last tournament before the World Cup next year. China head coach Ma Liangxing will select some new players for the national team.
The teams are divided into three groups in Foshan, Nanhai and Huadu. The best eight teams will win the right to attend the Super League next year.
The twelve teams are Beijing Chenjian, Shanghai TV, Guangdong Haiyin, Jiangsu Huatai, Dalian Shide, Sichuan Jiannanchun, Hebei, PLA Sinco, Henan Lingrui, Tianjin Tongrentang, Shandong and Shanxi. Anhui Bengbu Cigar Factory is sponsoring the tournament.
