Shanghai TV beats PLA Jianlibao 2-0 on Thursday in China Premier League

Defending champions Shanghai TV defeated PLA Jianlibao 2-0 at home on Thursday. Bai Lili came close to open the scoring in the 18th minute but her shot was over the bar. It was Chi Yi who broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute after a cross from young player Wang Ying.

Xiao Yan, who just got married, sealed the 2-0 victory for the hosts with a free kick in the 28th minute. "The goal is for goalkeeper Zhao Yan. Today is her birthday," Xiao Yan said after the match.

Without their key players, Bai Jie and Cui Xiaojing, PLA Jianlibao had no way of coming back. Shanghai Chi Yi was named the player of the match.

In another match on Thursday, Guangdong Haiyin won 1-0 win against their host Beijing Chengjian in Xiannongtan stadium, Beijing.

To attract more spectators Beijing Chengjian provided local fans with free tickets. On the other hand, Guangdong player Zhao Lihong did not play in the match because of heavy injury.

Guangdong Haiyin moves to the top of the China Premier League after defeating Beijing Chengjian. Shanghai take the second place after six wins and two draws.
