“Iron Roses” fade in East Asia Four-nations Tournament

By Jia Ailing

The China National team, who were called "the Iron Roses" after the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, took last place in the East Asia Four-nations Tournament on Saturday with one draw and two losses.

Jo Yun Mi's goal in the 58th minute destroyed any last hope of winning
for China.. "The Iron Roses" were unable to score a goal in the whole
tournament.

Pen Encai, the new head coach of the team, is facing criticism from the
media and fans. But CFA have made no public comment yet.
