Pen Encai resigns as Head Coach of China National Team

By Jia Ailing

China National Team Head Coach Pei Encai has announced he is
resigning from his position. The decision comes a little more than six months after Pen Encai was named Head Coach by the China Football Association.

"It is a hard decision to me," Pei said, "I resigned because of the
pressure. The pressure is from the media, the fans and the CFA. They hope the national team could return to the apex soon but I think we need patience and time to do it."

The China Football Association is looking for a new head coach now, and Ma Yuanan and Ma Liangxing are both candidates for the position. The deputy head coach Wang Haiming is leading the team to play several warm-ups in Australia.
