January 11, 2007 South Korea launches its first women’s soccer league By Kang Suk-kyung The league starts play in 2007 in South Korea. Participating teams Seoul Seoul city hall Amazones. Inchen Hyundai iron and steel Redangels Chungchong-namdo Ilwha chunma Kyongsang-namdo Daegyo kangaroos. In their first season they will play a total of 15 games in 5 rounds per team. Busan Sang-mu is organizing a team and will take part in the league during the second half of the year. They are hoping to create a lot of interest in the women's game in South Korea.
