July 11, 2001 China National Team defeated by North Korea again Jia Ailing North Korea National Team beat China 3-2 in Pyongyang on Tuesday. Zhang team played three warm-ups in North Korea and this is their last match in the country. The hosts broke the deadlock in the 3rd minute and took a 2-0 lead ten minutes after the kick off. Then China took control of the situation. Midfielder Pu Wei's shot hit the bar in the 42nd minute. The forward Zhang Ouying pulled back one goal for the visitors in the 55th minute but North Korea scored their third goal in the 76th minute after a fatal mistake made by China defenders. Pu Wei scored a consolation goal before the end of the match. In their first two matches, China were defeated 2-0 by North Korea National team on July 4 and beat Yalu club 1-0 on July 6. Three veterans, Zhao Lihong, Liu Ying and Wang Liping did not attend the training.
