Wild Card team Reston Rage has "the spirit and drive to win" in the U.S. Regionals

The Reston Rage, the Under-16 Girls Soccer Team under the WAGS division, placed 2nd in the State but are competing in the U.S. Regionals representing the State of VA on June 29 through July 3 in Buffalo, NY.

Although considering themselves "underdogs" because of their 2nd place, and only becaming eligible through the "wild card" lotto when another state dropped out, they believe they will win. "We have spirit and drive," says Reston Rage striker, Cyndi Zaino who has been playing soccer since age 6.

Every Thursday, the team is mentored, coached and trained by D.C. United Goal Keeper, Mark Simpson, which is sure to enhance the teams skill and talent adding to their "spirit and drive."

The Reston Rage may prove to be the "Rocky" of the Regionals, as they try to refute the idea that a superstar team within a given area that dominates year after year leaves no chance of anyone rocking the boat.
