Missouri claims two Cup Victories in Snickers
Midwest Regional Championships
Missouri and Kansas took the new younger girls' group championships at the SNICKERS US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships held in Springfield, Missouri, June 22-June 27, 2001 at the Cooper Family SoccerPlex.
In a reversal of the boys results, it would seem that Ohio South lags behind in it its young girls' programs. The Midwest Regional Champions will travel to Lawrence, Indiana for the National Championships tournament to be played July 24-29.
"The complex and
quality of the fields in Springfield were second to none," said Chris
Christoffersen, US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional director. "Bob Hart,
the Midwest Region Cup Chairman, his committee, and the volunteers from
the Lake Country Soccer League did an outstanding job
organizing and running this tournament."
