U.S. Under-19 National Team Coach Tracey Leone to check out USYS 1982-83 ODP Girls' training session
Regional Olympic Development Program Teams will compete in a round-robin training session at the ARCO/US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California beginning today.
The
elite training tournament serves as an opportunity for players to show
their skills for Head Coach Tracey Leone. Leone’s team is currently
preparing the U.S. Under-19s for May's World Championship qualifying tournament
in Trinidad & Tobago for a place at the first ever FIFA U-19 Women's
World Championship this summer in Canada.
Schedule for the 2002 US Youth Soccer 1982-83 Girls ODP Interregional
January 25 9 a.m. 2 Region IV vs. Region II
. 11 a.m 3 Region III vs. Region I
January 26 9 a.m. 2 Region IV vs. Region I
11 a.m. 3 Region III vs. Region II
January 27 9 a.m. 2 Region II vs. Region I
11 a.m. 3 Region IV vs. Region III
The teams play two 45-minute halves, and a player that leaves the game may not re-enter, with the exception of goalkeepers in the event of injury.The adoption of the no re-entry rule for this event breaks from US Youth Soccer's traditional format, but is standard with FIFA's Laws of the Game regarding international competition.
