Colorado Rush girls complete triple crown with victory at SNICKERS® US Youth Soccer National Championships

One team grabbed a piece of history in the finals of the SNICKERS® Cup.

The Colorado Rush Under-19 girls became only the second team to win three consecutive US Youth Soccer national age-group titles.

The Rush Under-19 girls earned their triple crown with a 3-0 triumph over.Challenge '81/'82 (Klein, Texas), avenging a 2-0 loss Thursday in group play. Colorado added to its Under-17 and Under-18 crowns to equal the feat accomplished first by the Central Valley Mercury (San Jose, Calif.), which won the Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 cups from 1996-98.

"Just knowing that we had accomplished so much in our soccer careers already, we knew we had to do just a little more to make history," said Rush defender Margaret Lea. "It was a great to end our youth careers this way."

The Rush club also claimed the Under-15 girls title with a 4-1 victory over Busch SC (St. Louis). Colorado's Under-15s scored three goals in the first 21 minutes to put away Busch, which had defeated the Far West champions, 2 1, on Friday.
