Nike and April Heinrichs have awarded 10 applicants with the first April Heinrichs/Nike Coaching Education Scholarship Awards
The 10 winners represent candidates at all levels of the game, from all areas of the country.
Stephanie Diaz (Raleigh,
N.C.), Laura Dobbs (Alpharetta, Ga.), Karen Ferguson (Louisville, Ky.),
Cory Ann Forkner (Greencastle, In.), Sheri Huckleberry (Muncie, In.),
Jennifer Mead (San Diego, Calif.), Steven
Quinones (Gorham, Me.), Jennifer Rawlings (Birmingham, Ala.), Barbara
Jo Reid (Anchorage, Ak.), and Say Sutherlanda (Elkridge, Md.). will each
receive $1,000 to be used for registration costs andexpenses incurred
in attending a U.S. Soccer national level coaching academy. The recipients
have indicated intended courses which range from National Youth License
all the way to A, B and C level courses.
