Burns Sports poll of 1,000 ad agencies and corporate marketing executives
place Hamm first as most appealing female athlete.
Hamm placed first
in the poll and received more than twice the number of first-place votes
as second-place Anna Kournikova. In addition to topping a number of other
polls of this type over the last few years, Hamm also finished first in
a 1998 Sports Business Daily survey asking marketing executives and journalists
to name "the most marketable female athlete."
