Schedule and US roster for US Youth Soccer ODP
All America Team in adidas Cup 2001
US Youth Soccer's 3rd Annual adidas Cup kicks off Tuesday, May 29, at
4:00 p.m. at Elizabeth K. Meyer Park. The event runs through Saturday,
June 2, with the championship game beginning at 8:00 p.m. All games will
be played at Meyer Park, and admission is free.
Although it is technically not considered a "national team", nine players from the US Youth Soccer ODP All America team are part of the player pool from which the national team is selected. In fact, three players from All America team's recent successful European tour will compete for the U.S. U-18 National Team at this event. "For a young woman to be selected for the ODP program, she has been through numerous tryouts in her state and on through the system. It is an honor to be invited to play at the adidas Cup for these girls," Catlett said.
On Thursday, May
31, at 8:00 p.m. the United States meets China in the final game of the
tournament's qualifying round.
