Annalisa Pawlosky is named U.S. Youth Soccer's Young Female Referee of the Year

Seventeen-year-old Annalisa Pawlosky is described with words such as maturity, professionalism and leadership. Annalisa, who comes from Springfield, Virginia, has experience not only as a soccer referee, but also as a team member, as a former Division I club player. Annalisa's skills as a referee have not gone unnoticed, as many senior referees request her to officiate alongside them during "big" games. Annalisa is described as both driven and ambitious, but most importantly she has been called the consummate team player.

"I love the game, that is why I do it," Annalisa says. "One thing that winning this award made me realize was that there are so many other really talented female referees out there. One great aspect of winning this award is getting to meet the other female referees, which is very beneficial to me."

The Young Female Referee of the Year is chosen from a group of four regional winners who have also won recognition in their home states. From this group one female is chosen as a winner of the Young Female Referee of the Year award. Being named US Youth Soccer's Young Referee of the Year is a distinguished honor that reflects the dedication and hard work that these youth bring to the soccer field.
