January 29, 2001

USC Women's Head Coach Jim Millinder signed to five-year contract extension

The extension will run through the 2005 season.

"We have been able to put in a lot of time to build the foundation here at USC to create a top 15 program," said Millinder. "The next five years will be predicated on us becoming one of the nation's elite programs."

Millinder is 73-27-4 in five years at USC and has guided the Women of Troy to the second round of the NCAA Tournament the last three years. He was named Pac-10 Coach of the Year in 1996 and 1998. The 1998 squad won its final seven conference games to earn a three-way tie for the Pac-10 championship.
