January 16, 2001 USC Head Coach Jim Millinder names Andrea Warner and Neil Sedgwick as assistant coaches Sedgwick replaces Kit Vela, who left in December to take the head coaching position at New Mexico. Warner will serve as an undergraduate assistant coach until she graduates from USC this May, at which point she will be upgraded to a full-time position. Sedgwick was Head Coach at the University of North Dakota for the past two seasons, with a19-15 overall record. The Fighting Sioux were 12-6 last season and 7-9 in 1999, the first year of the program. Sedgwick has been a staff coach with the Canadian National Women's Team since 1996. He is a 1995 graduate of Dalhousie University, with bachelor's degrees in education and physical education. He received his master's degree from the University of Victoria in British Columbia last year. Warner recently completed her four-year playing career with the Women of Troy. She played in all 84 games from 1997-2000, recording 11 goals and 12 assists as a midfielder. Warner is a graduate from Dana Hills High School in Dana Point, Calif.
