WUSA
fans in for treat this season as quality of players climbs
After
a successful first year launch WUSA shows every promise of settling
down into a more even distribution of talent among its member teams,
and that should result in an extremely competitive season. The sheer
quality and professional spirit of the players won through in spite
of being weighed down by all the spin and hype of high pressure
advertising companies who showed little knowledge of women's soccer,
and who reminded us of the dreadful mistakes made in their portraiture
of the men's game in the early years of the MLS....more

Recruiting
Stories - Part II:
"Regrets -- A Parent's Point of View"
I'm probably not the best person
to ask for advice. Much to my regret, my daughter is not too happy
at college, and she is looking to transfer....

Another opinion A couple of things about Shasta's article (once
again, she's really a find!) I copied 2 paragraphs, and wanted to
share a couple of things with you (I don't know how or if you want
to use them) - however there was one glaring (in my view) bad piece

view on. more----

Tiffeny
Milbrett

"Soccer is so
... normal. And Soccer is Life. And Normal is Great"
By Hilary Braysmith
On a grassy area behind
the bleachers, little girls and boys played a pick-up game
together. They stopped to watch the Seraphs of St. Bonaventure
high in their hunter green and white uniforms take the field.
Tiny admiring faces peeked through the chain link fence as
soccer families and spectators prepared to watch America's
future kick the ball. Soccer playing girls are such a familiar,
normal sight, a comforting experience radiating discipline,
character, and the sense that all is well. continued....
